A new scam has been hitting the streets of Teddington.

Richmond Police have explained the scam that has been affecting many parts of South West London.

They said: "We've had reports of suspects claiming to be police officers asking the public to withdraw money to aid in our investigations.

"This is a SCAM. Do not give couriers money for police.

"Call us on 101/999 if you receive a call if asked by 'police' for money."

It is very important that you are vigilant about this scam.

These reports come after a previous car parking scam was reported in Teddington a few weeks ago.
