Are you searching for work?
Starting 15th April, local charity Room for Work offers a free 12-lesson career development course for Teddington residents.
If you're a mature person struggling to get back into work -- or you know you're under-employed and want a better job -- this is the programme for you.
Course participants learn current job search techniques with an emphasis on networking, developing social media skills, improving CVs, and practising competency-based interviews.
All delivered in a friendly local environment.
The programme is for mature people over 40 with work experience ranging from administrative to managerial and professional roles. T
hose who are new to the UK job market with good basic English and computer skills are also welcome to join.
You'll be with like-minded people in the same situation, using the power of community to build your motivation and confidence in finding a job.
The Room for Work format includes tailored, one-to-one mentoring provided by the Course Leader, follow-up personal career coaching, and ongoing job search support with Work Match Richmond.
The course is delivered at the Warehouse, St John's Hampton Wick, KT1 4AL.
Classes are held on Mondays and Tuesdays from 10.30am-1pm. The 6-week course runs from April 15th – October 31st. For more info and to register visit www.roomforwork.org
