Man pronounced dead after being recovered from the Thames in Teddington

A man was pronounced dead on Thursday after he was pulled from the Thames.

A spokesperson from the Metropolitan police told Nub News:

"Police were called to Lower Ham Road in Kingston on Thursday, 18 February at approximately 11:00hrs to reports of a body of a man in the River Thames.

"Police Marine Units attended along with RNLI and London Ambulance Service.

"A man was recovered from the river. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

"Next of kin have been informed.

"At this time, the death is being treated as unexplained but not suspicious."

The incident resulted in the path being closed by the river.
