Join us for a relaxing winter afternoon of creativity learning all about the wonderful textile art of silk painting.

During the workshop, experienced local tutor and artist Sophie Saxon will teach you about the processes involved in transferring designs onto silk using a gutta outline and then various different techniques for mixing and applying paints onto silk fabric.

You'll then have plenty of time to experiment, creating yourself a sun catcher (or maybe even two) using either your own design or choosing from designs supplied by Sophie.

All materials and use of tools are included in the workshop price.

We'll also be serving lots of coffee, tea and homemade cake to help your creativity!
