As part of this role, "you will have responsibility for the production of VAT returns, CIS return calculations and submissions, updating our own and clients cloud based accounting software and assisting other staff with the production of end of year financial statements. Clients will typically be small limited companies with turnovers of between £100k and £3m, from a variety of industries.
"You will be comfortable working in a general practice environment, confident using accounting packages (Sage, QuickBooks, Xero etc) and Excel, and working from incomplete records to produce a fully reconciled trial balance. You will need to compliment your technical skills with the ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and approachable way, with a view to building long-standing relationships.
"Many of our clients have a limited grasp of accounting and will rely on you to guide and help them to understand their accounts."

The same accountancy firm in Isleworth is hiring a senior practice accountant and is offering an annual salary of £40k-£50k.
The job description says: "In this varied role, you will become responsible for a for a wide variety of clients, predominantly producing year end accounts, interim management accounts, corporation tax computations and returns and personal tax computations and returns, but sometimes needing to 'get your hands dirty' with bookkeeping, VAT, and CIS matters. Clients will typically be small limited companies, partnerships and sole traders with turnovers ranging from £100k to £3m, from a variety of industries.
"You will be comfortable working in a general practice environment, confident using accounting software and familiar with working from incomplete records to produce a fully reconciled trial balance. Your technical skills will be complemented by first class interpersonal skills.
"You will excel at communicating with clients in a friendly and approachable way, with a view to building long-standing relationships. Many of our clients have a limited grasp of accounting and will rely on you to guide them through the process and help them to understand their accounts."

Specific duties and responsibilities include:
- Will be responsible for the efficient and effective micro-commissioning of straightforward packages of care and placements by demonstrating strength-based approaches.

- To be responsible for collating market management information to enable you to carry out your role. This may include populating and reporting information on provider capacity, voids, provider costs and service type information. This information should be presented to the Senior Commissioning Manager.
- To notify the Senior Commissioning Manager and / or Deputy Manager of any provider information changes or provider intelligence that will impact on service delivery.
- At the request of the Senior Commissioning Manager and / or Deputy Manager to be the team's representative at meetings and report on key decisions and actions.
