Join the multi-award winning MurderedforMoney team for a 5 day virtual murder mystery set in the heart of Mayfair, London, at the luxury Ratz Hotel! Join a live zoom interrogation on Saturday 18th June or opt for the video recording.
This production is performed in support of the Basingstoke District Disability Forum.
@basingstokedisabilityforumIn the heart of London's Mayfair sits The Ratz Hotel, a beacon of luxury and tradition. But all of that is about to come crashing down when the new manager announces his rather unusual plans. Secrets, lies, revenge, ambition and unrequited love come bubbling to the surface with hilarious and deadly consequences.
Join players across the world as they compete to solve the crime, catch the killer(s) and claim the Super Sleuth prize!
In the run up to Saturday night, we will email you video footage to watch, clues to unravel, puzzles to solve and evidence to sort. Then gather your wits for the live interrogation of the suspects, via Zoom conferencing, on Saturday evening. Use clever questioning to check alibis, reveal more clues, and reveal the killer(s).
You then have until 6.30pm on Sunday to decide who-dunnit and why. Submit your answer by the deadline for a chance to win the £30 Amazon E-voucher. Everyone who correctly identifies the killer(s) will receive a Super Sleuth Certificate.In order to take part in the challenge, all you need is access to the internet and the nose of a detective!.
The script is based on Recipe for Murder written by David Lovesy & Steve Clark and adapted for the virtual world by Bridget Wilkinson.
HOW TO PLAYAt 6pm on Monday 13th June 2022, you will receive by email your joining instructions, explaining how to play and introducing the story and the suspects.
At 12 noon on Tuesday 14th, Wednesday 15th and Thursday 16th you will receive an email from us containing video footage, evidence, clues and information relating to the crime. You can look at these as they arrive, save them for the evening, or binge watch them all at the weekend, whichever you prefer.Then on the evening of Saturday 18th June you are invited to attend a live interrogation of the suspects via Zoom video conferencing. Here you will meet the suspects you have been watching all week in the footage and the policeman leading the case. Ask the suspects anything that you want as you try to reveal the truth.
You then have until Sunday evening at 6.30pm to put your heads together to work out who-dunnit, submit your solution, and have a chance of winning the prize.At 8.30pm on Sunday all will be revealed and the winner announced.
Don't worry if this feels a lot to remember, we will take you through it day by day when you take part. Live suspect interrogationsWhen buying your ticket you have the option to choose to attend an interrogation at either 7pm or 8pm. If you prefer not to join us on Zoom, you can opt for a recording of an interrogation to be emailed to you late on Saturday night.
