This course examines the innovative approaches of contemporary artists William Tillyer and Rebecca Hind, both of whom push the boundaries of watercolour. Students will explore traditional and experimental techniques, including structured washes, abstracting from representational images, and paint-pouring. The course encourages creative thinking, helping students develop their own artistic voice while improving skills in colour-mixing, wet-in-wet applications, and compositional experimentation.
