Arts Richmond's Artist of the Year Competition 2025 in association with Habitats & Heritage is set to take place on Saturday, 5 July.

The competition will take place at the Grade II listed Grove Gardens Chapel in Richmond Old Cemetery from 10 am – 2 pm.

Arts Richmond says: "The chapel and the historic grounds offer much architectural and natural interest and beauty, so come along with your stool, easel, other artists' requirements, and refreshments to enjoy a creative day.

"The chapel is undergoing restoration, but it is hoped the work will be completed by the end of June, when facilities inside the chapel will be available (water, toilet). And in case of rain, for judging the works inside the chapel."

Registration for the competition is needed, and it costs £5 to register.

There is some free parking on the roads, and the 371 bus stops are in Marchmont Road and Park Road (from Richmond and Ham directions).
