Ceramic Slab Pots
United Response, Field Lane, Teddington TW11 9BP
Arts & Crafts
UNTIL Sunday 14th May
Why not join us for the latest in our series of stand-alone ceramics workshops with professional ceramist and experienced teacher Jesse Crowther and learn how to create and decorate slab built ceramic vessels?
During the workshop Jesse will teach you how to make slab built forms and demonstrate a range of decorative and printing techniques that you can use on your own pieces.
You will be provided with enough clay to build your vessels and also to explore and experiment with surface designs. Feel free to create as many items as you want with your allocated clay however, due to kiln space, only one large piece or two small can be taken away by Jesse to be kiln fired after the class and glazed with a transparent glaze, though extra pieces may be fired for an additional cost.
Your beautiful finished creations can then be picked up either from Jesse at her studio near Kingston Bridge or from us in Teddington, or for a small fee can be packed up and posted to your home.
The workshop is suitable for both absolute beginners and those with a little ceramics experience.
Please bring an apron and we recommend wearing older clothes you don't mind getting a bit messy!
All materials and use of tools are included and we'll also give you lots of tea, coffee and homemade cake.
"fun workshop with lovely instructors! Can't wait to try another course!"
