My client based in the Surrey area are currently recruiting for a Software Development Manager/Software Engineering Manager.This is a "hands off" Software Development Manager role, however, you will come from a C#/Microsoft .NET development background. We are looking for an experienced developer, who is up to date on development technologies and best practices, can direct and mentor the development team and have the gravitas to challenge technical design decisions. The role will work with a small number of UK based developers and approximately 20 staff in a closely linked but external overseas software house.You will need to have;

• Excellent written and spoken English in a commercial environment.
• Exceptional people management skills
• Strong experience in a similar role of software development management.
• Detailed knowledge of cloud systems (AWS/Azure).
• C# development experience.
• Good understanding of mobile development frameworks.
• Good understanding and experience of design patterns.
• Good understanding of technical architectures (pros/cons).
• Experience running a complex, geographically dispersed development team.
• Extensive historical full stack development experience.

This is a hybrid role, with the head office close to Surbiton in Surrey, you will be expected to be in the office 3 days a week.
