We optimise and innovate. We turn big ideas into the products, content and services millions of people love. And we do it all right here at Sky.This is an excellent opportunity to join our Contribution and Origination team as a Team Lead helping to shape the future working practices and technological landscape at the bleeding edge of audio and video contribution and origination. You are an inquisitive, motivated, and reliable person with strong integrity and empathy, who is willing to learn and apply new knowledge on a constant basis. What you'll do:

  • Form part of the platform leadership team - working closely with the Platform Owner and Senior Engineering Managers to define strategy & build a roadmap, guide technical approach, and compatible ways of working (e.g., standardised visibility model, information radiators, automated reporting).
  • Work closely with the Platform Owner - to obtain high-level priorities and translate these into more granular priority calls at the team level.
  • Coach & facilitate agile and DevOps principles - for example, reducing batch sizes, hosting retrospectives, working to breakdown silos, fostering an environment of trust & safety with a focus on the 3 ways: Flow, feedback, and continuous learning.
  • Build a cross functional team - with the ability to provide consistent, predictable throughput for your stream of value. Forming, maintaining, and executing on a hiring strategy. In collaboration with Senior Managers & Platform Owners refine interview templates and techniques, job adverts, and identify skill gaps and bottlenecks.
  • Mentor an understudy - or multiple understudies for team continuity during absences and succession planning.
