Wayman Group is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Year 1 Teacher to join a diverse school in Richmond, Southwest London starting in April 2024. The selected Year 1 Teacher will become part of a dynamic team, working within a vibrant and supportive school environment. Year 1 Teacher Responsibilities

Create and implement lesson plans that align with the national curriculum and school guidelines

Deliver engaging and effective instruction to Year 1 students, promoting active participation and academic growth

Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to cater to different learning styles

Provide constructive feedback and support to students to enhance their learning experiences

Create and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere

Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and programs

Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and development

Year 1 Teacher Requirements

Hold a relevant teaching qualification and QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

Proven experience in teaching Year 1 students, including knowledge of the national curriculum

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, colleagues, and parents

Strong organizational and administrative abilities to manage lesson planning, assessments, and reporting

Passionate about education and dedicated to fostering a love for learning in young students

Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement

Flexibility and adaptability to meet the individual needs of students and respond to changes in the educational environment
