The lifts at Teddington Station have today (Thursday, 6 October) reopened after being closed for nearly two months.
The lifts closed on 11 September after a man became trapped in one and significant damage was done in efforts to release the person.
The lifts, which officially opened in March after a five-month delay, have frequently been out of service, causing concern among many local residents.

Originally, the lifts were set to open in October, but this was delayed until the end of December, and was then again delayed until March.
They were built to improve accessibility for elderly and disabled travellers, as well as families with young children and heavy prams.
The £3.6m 'Access for All' scheme began in September 2023 and saw two lifts opening between the two platforms on Station Road and Victoria Road.
The two lifts have a capacity of 16 people each.
Speaking about the reopening, a Network Rail spokesperson told Nub News: "We are pleased to say that the lifts at Teddington station have now reopened after being closed for repairs.
"We apologise for the inconvenience this closure caused the local community and we thank them for their patience."
