To mark the start of the Women's Six Nations, The Lion pub in Teddington is proud to present Breaking the Line, a new exhibition by local artist Agnieszka Lokaj, celebrating the strength, athleticism and physicality of women in rugby.

The exhibition opens on the evening of Wednesday 8 April at The Lion, 27 Wick Rd, with a private view from 6-9pm ahead of the tournament's opening weekend, and runs throughout the Six Nations. Open to all but requiring reservation, join us there to meet the artist, experience these striking portraits, and rub shoulders with key figures in English women's rugby. A special focus will be placed on local, community connections to women's rugby, alongside new portraits of elite players that capture the intensity and skill of the game.

The first round of Women's Six Nations fixtures will be shown live at The Lion on Saturday 11 April, making the pub a hub for both sport and art as the tournament gets underway. So book now!

About the artist: Agnieszka Lokaj is a Twickenham-based artist working in semi-abstract portraiture. Her paintings explore strength, resilience and identity, with a particular focus on women's rugby, capturing moments of intensity, movement and emotional presence.

Drawing inspiration from both elite sport and her local community, Agnieszka's work celebrates the growing visibility of women's sport and the individuality of the athletes she portrays
