Teddington and Hamptons Rotary Club seeks new home for Santa Sleigh
By Tilly O'Brien 30th Apr 2026
The Rotary Club of Teddington and the Hamptons is in need of storage for its Santa Sleigh this year.
The sleigh, which delights residents each year with its evening routes around Teddington and Hampton in the first weeks of December, is currently stranded outside one of the club member's homes.
The club says "it desperately needs to be under cover having lost it's regular garage storage at the end of last year".
The club is on the hunt for some low cost space, a garage or other indoor area, that it can use to house the sleigh and other Rotary equipment such as Gazebos and its Fruit Machine that many will have seen at its summer events.
The club raises funds with the sleigh to support a lot of local community groups and charities, helping them to provide essential services to young and old alike.
From funding river trips and shopping bus journeys for the elderly to supporting children with its annual Children's Fun Day, the sleigh ensures the club "can keep giving back".
It says it wants to hear from anyone who has any space that may be suitable and who may be willing to lease it to the club at a reasonable price.
If you think you can help, get in touch with the Club Secretary by emailing [email protected] or calling 07718 316570.
