Teddington Ladies conceded with three minutes to play against table toppers London Wayfarers to let a two-goal lead slip and peg them back for a draw.

The Teddington Ladies 1s headed to Battersea Park to face top of the table London Wayfarers and started the game with a bang taking an early lead through Olivia d'Castro after a superb direct ball from Zoe Cronin and serious pressing on the opposition from Mai Garcia Mortitan.

This lead lasted the half despite a number of chances at both ends of the pitch as it quickly turned into the tight scrap everyone expected. Wayfarers were unsuccessful with a couple of short corners and Teddington continued to harry and hassle with a high press, but failed to capitalise on the chances they were creating.

Teddington started the 2nd half as they did the 1st. Alex Hurst showed some nice skills down the baseline, cut into the D and slotted it past the keeper to double the lead.

The game was 50/50 throughout the second half until the last 10 minutes when some brief indiscipline from Teddington helped Wayfarers get back into the game. They finally managed to convert a penalty corner and it was game on.

They scored again three minutes from time, finishing from close range. A 2-2 draw felt like a disappointment for Teddington, but a well deserved point against top of the table was enough to keep the team in touch and contention in the League before a home tie to Wimbledon this coming weekend.
