Teddington Ladies 1s went on their travels to South East London at the weekend in the hope of maintaining their winning and goal scoring streak for the first meeting against Kings and Alleyn's Hockey Club.  Rasna Sandu reports on an emphatic win for Teddington.

They started the game with a bang, winning a short corner in the first 3 minutes. Eleanor Jolly cracked it home from the top of the D and Rasna Sandhu was quickly in on the rebound to put the ball in the back of the goal.

Teddington didn't stop there with Olivia D'Castro putting 3 more past the keeper in the next 12 minutes.

The opposition were struggling to cope with the speedy runs from Lily St.Clair, Riley Flecker-Lister and Alex Hurst deep into the heart of their defence. Four up after 20 minutes could have led to some complacency, but a run of dangerous attacks from Kings and Alleyn's remind the Teddington defence to stand strong and not lose concentration.

For the rest of the first half, Olivia D'Castro pressed hard and went close herself, before the pressure told and a fine finish from Lily StClair from open play took them in five up at half time.

With the second half underway, Kings and Alleyn's started strongly with several bursts through the pitch forcing Teddington keeper, Izzy Pinder into some high quality saves. Against the run of the play at that stage, Alex Hurst put the fixture beyond doubt scoring from a rebound from a short corner.

Teddington managed to secure a few further short corners and after a few attempts, Eleanor Jolly managed to slip one past the keeper.

Kings and Alleyn's fought till the end winning two short corners right up to the full-time whistle and managed to put the final one away for a consolation in a hard day at the office.
