After securing three points on the road to University of Bristol last week, the boys in pink entered into the final domestic league game of the calendar year against Oxford Hawks with momentum. Elliott Smith reports on a convincing win for the Teddies.

Teddington opened up the scoring with an electric counter attack cutting Hawks defence apart. Elliot Smith intercepting an Oxford pass, initiating the pattern to find Kyle White before releasing Mike Moran into a channel to attack. A weighted ball from the baseline found the continuing run from Smith who elegantly scored into an open net.

Teddington continued the rhythmic passing at pace which led to a goal from Edward Greaves. Another quickly followed from James Hall after a phase exceeding 30 passes.

Before the end of the half the score line was bolstered to 4-0 thanks to a short corner conversion from Elliot Smith. Teddington Captain Murray Collins was unfortunately forced to leave the field having picked up an injury after taking a ball to the thumb from a wayward shot. Whilst a big blow to the team, the match day squad sustained the intensity and quality into the second half.

Teddington resumed in dominant style manufacturing more chances at goal and they were rewarded again when Teddington's Matt Mitcham glided a ball past Oxford Hawks' defenders and rifled into the net.

The game finished 5-0 after Teddington's George Oyebode cemented the clean sheet, parrying an Oxford Hawks short corner attempt in the last play of the game.

Teddington remain 2nd in the league going into the Christmas break. The second half of the season returns early February where the squad will be back ready to build on their momentum in a bid to chase down league leaders Southgate.
