Molesey sports club Imber Court has cancelled its annual fireworks for 2022 after a display on Friday that left some attendees fearing for their lives due to crushes and bottlenecks caused by dangerous overcrowding.

It is the first time in 52 years that the club has cancelled the fireworks event which is popular with Teddington residents and billed as 'Surrey's largest display.'

A SPACE-THEMED light trail will be illuminating Hampton Court Palace this December as part of a tantalising menu of Christmas events at the palace.

Visitors to the royal site near Bushy Park will be swept up in a "whimsical world of planets and stars" in a new installation inspired by the palace's astronomical clock.

Teddington boy and Brentford F.C. super-fan Woody O'Rourke received an unexpected gift from England under-21 football player Max Aarons on Saturday in a heartwarming moment that has since gone viral.

Woody, who has down syndrome, shot to football fame in September after a photo of him and Brentford manager Thomas Frank embracing was widely shared on social media.

Scientists from Teddington's National Physical Laboratory (NPL) have installed a measuring instrument at the top of the 120-metre high Glasgow Science Centre Tower for the duration of the COP26 conference to test levels of greenhouse gas emissions at the climate summit.

A spectrometer and atmospheric sampling system, which is usually based at the NPL's Atmospheric Composition measurement Laboratory in Teddington, provides simultaneous and precise measurement of methane and was installed at the observation deck a the top of the of the landmark tower.

A spectacular silhouetted 'Army' of soldiers built as a tribute to the fallen to mark Remembrance Day was opened to the public at Hampton Court Palace today (Wednesday 3 November).

The field of 125 dark figures can be seen on the East Front Gardens and will be accompanied by 75 screen-printed poppy wreaths for the poignant installation which runs until November 28th.
