The Women's Rugby World Cup 2025 is to be held in England this time next year.

The tournament will be staged across eight cities with the final taking place at the home of England Rugby in Twickenham.

The stadium changed its name to Allianz earlier this month.

The world cup is a great opportunity to celebrate women's sport, and Richmond Council want as many local residents to get involved as possible.

You can express your interest for the world cup's volunteer programme now.

There will be a variety of volunteer roles available from customer service, sport and fan experience to broadcast, media and event operations.

Whether you are new to volunteering or volunteer regularly, an avid rugby fan or are new to the sport, there are opportunities for everyone.

To be part of the volunteer programme, applicants need to be:

  • Aged over 18 by 1 April 2025
  • Eligible to volunteer in the UK
  • Available for all match days at preferred location - check the volunteer programme FAQs for more details of the dates

The full programme and application form will be launched in October this year.
