England's women's rugby team, the Red Roses have been training at The Lensbury Club in Teddington this week.

John Mitchell's squad play France in Gloucester on 7 September, and Rugby World Cup Champions New Zealand a week later at Twickenham's newly named Allianz stadium.

Speaking about their upcoming matches, captain Marlie Packer said: "We want to be the Red Roses that keep playing in these high-end games to show we are the best - and you can only be the best if you're playing the best."

The 2025 Women's Rugby World Cup will take place at the Allianz stadium next summer and the Red Roses match against the Black Ferns on the 14 September will be the first game to take place at the stadium.

Allianz bought the naming rights for Twickenham from the Rugby Football Union (RFU) earlier this month.

Despite some backlash against the decision, the RFU insists the renaming will be 'transformative' for the game.
