The rules for wearing masks in hospitality venues have changed.

From today there are a number of additional places you will have to wear a mask in these venues.

When entering and leaving the venue you should be wearing a mask.

Also if you get up to go to the toilet you should be wearing a mask.

Of course when eating and drinking at the table itself a mask is not required.

We spoke to popular Teddington high street café, The Fallow Deer, and asked whether people this morning had been following the new measures.

The said: "So far this morning I'd say 95% of our guests have arrived fully prepared however a small handful today have arrived without masks."

The café also told us what compliance with the new rules has been like since they reopened.

They added: "The majority are all fully on board and following the new regulations as well as following all of the signage we have displayed though which is great."

These new rules apply to all those over the age of 11.

Table service is now compulsory at these venues as is making sure the restaurant have your details for Track and Trace purposes.
