The new NHS COVID-19 App has launched in Teddington and across the country today.

After months of delay the app is finally here - but what does it actually do?

The app accesses your location and tells you the risk level of your area.

The only personal data you have to put into the app is the start of your postcode (for example TW11 or KT1)

Most areas of South West London are currently at a 'medium' level of risk.

The app also allows you to check in to venues as well as read the latest advice and check your symptoms.

You can also find out test results via the app - but it does not appear that you can book tests through it.

There have also been reported problems for people with an iPhone six or older in that they cannot download the app.
