Cantanti Camerati Open Singing Day at St James' Church
Cantanti Camerati is a chamber choir that specialises in performing unaccompanied English music. They are also known for the wide range of music that they tackle - from band-accompanied Broadway shows to opera excerpts. The choir was formed in 1968, is based in Richmond-upon-Thames and rehearses on Thursday evenings at St James's Church, St James's Road, Hampton.
They will be hosting their first Come and Sing Day on Saturday 17th September at St. James' Church, Hampton Hill, where they will be singing a wide variety of choral chamber music.
A fantastic opportunity for those who have had little experience of chamber choir singing to come along and have a go. They will be looking at music from Shearing, Elgar, Parry, Stanford, Sullivan and Byrd. All music will be supplied free of charge and tea, coffee and cake will also be supplied. The venue is a short walk to Hampton Hill where there is a wide variety of options for lunch or for a drink after the singing finishes.

Visible Mending Workshop at United Response
Learn how to breathe fresh life into your old and frayed – but still beloved – clothes! Rather than throwing them away and adding to landfill, our class will show you how to live a little more sustainably and give your clothes a new lease of life.
In this relaxed Sunday afternoon workshop with talented Jennie Chambers, you'll be shown various hand sewing techniques to mend and embellish garments.
During the session, Jennie will demonstrate different visible mending techniques, including Sashiko stitching, which you can then use on your own items of clothing (or if you prefer it, you can practise the skills first on fabric samples we'll bring along).
Al Murray's Gig for Victory at Richmond Theatre
As the dust settles and we emerge blinking into the dawn of a new era, the people of this great country will need answers.
Who better to show the way, to provide those answers, than the people's man of the people, Al Murray The Pub Landlord?
