It's been a tough time for the fitness industry during the pandemic however now we are seeing a bounce back.

Last time on Up Close we featured MiBody Fitness and you can view that article HERE

Up and Running is a popular running shop on Broad Street however you may not have known a fitness studio is located above the shop.

Rachel Leonard has been utilising it for her Pilates classes that started back in Januray - but were obviously cut short in March.

Now however Rachel is getting back into business and will resume classes in mid-September.

Here's what she told Nub News Teddington:

"It's a really good sized studio and not a lot of people know it is there.

"From January I was running three classes a week and getting quite popular.

"I work for a health club part-time so it'll be nice to get back to teaching more people."

Coronavirus has also had a big impact on the business forcing the closure back in March but Rachel is optimistic about the future.

"I ran Zoom classes during lockdown so that was a quite nice way to keep busy.

"We have had to reduce the number of people allowed in the studio from 12 down to 5.

"But I'm keen to get whole families in to do Pilates in households or even support bubbles."

Rachel will be running Pilates classes and Conditioning classes specifically designed to improve running performance and reduce the risk of injury.

So if this sounds like your cup of tea contact Rachel on 07958 440977 or email [email protected] for more information.
