Ted's Market, which takes place in The King's Head car park on the last Saturday of ever month, has announced today, Tuesday 28 January, that it has signed a business transfer with Richmond-based Artisanal Bakery & Café, Swiss Bread Bakery & Café.

In an Instagram post, Ted's Market said: "This one is really big for Ted's as we have been looking for a local baker since we started.

Andre and Tanja are best friends from Switzerland that set up Swiss Bread Bakery in 2020. Just a 15 minute stroll from Teddington lock, through Ham Lands, and you're there.

"They make your classic fresh pastries; croissants, pain au choc, butter brioche, almond & hazelnut, and then some more unique to back home; pretzels, pretzel rolls, Linzertorte, Swiss chocolate cake, butter loaf, honey glazed fig & almond baguette (amazing with cheese), 'Berliner' doughnuts, Swiss baguettes etc.

"They also do a range of tarts, quiches and savoury bites. We are in for a treat.

"They were also voted best bakery in London in the 2024 Muddy Stiletto Awards!"
