Teddington’s new community centre is hiring a Finance and Administration Co-ordinator
By Tilly O'Brien 18th Mar 2026
The new Elleray Centre in the heart of Teddington has now been open for almost four months – "and a lot has happened in that time," says Michael Hill, Trustee of the Elleray Community Association (ECA).
ECA's weekday social club for Teddington's older residents moved in successfully at the end of last year and has since acquired quite a few new members.
"But we still have room for more," Hill added.
He continued: "We are also receiving a large number of enquiries from tutors and instructors about hiring our hall or rooms for their own classes and activities.
"We are already the venue for quite a few new activities including French classes for children, pilates, yogalates, belly dancing and children's drama as well as the bridge, Teddington Guides and martial arts sessions who have followed us from the old Elleray Hall to our new premises.
"So the new Centre is already proving to be a place that everyone can enjoy!"
In addition to these regular activities, ECA held a "very successful" fundraising quiz night and a series of talks and workshops which were also very well attended.
On 31 March, The Elleray Centre will host an evening of rock and blues with internationally acclaimed singer/guitarist Matt Woosey with support from local singer/songwriter Veronica D.
Tickets are still available now and can be bought here.
With all this activity going on, ECA says it is now recruiting a new full time Finance and Administration Co-ordinator to join and support its "friendly" management team.
The role will include handling invoicing and payments, managing the hire of the centre's rooms to outside tutors and event organisers, keeping ECA's membership and user records up to date, dealing with telephone and email enquiries and acting as first contact point for Centre users, and visitors.
The working hours are 9am - 4.30 pm and the salary for the 37.5 hour working week will be £26,000 - £28,500 per annum.
ECA said: "So, if you are a good communicator with skills in organisation and administration as well as the ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team, do contact us right away!
"The closing date for applications is April 17th, but the recruitment process is ongoing, so make your application now!
