Teddington resident and Olympic champion Sir Mo Farah features alongside St Mary's University in a new BBC documentary which will be broadcast tonight (19 July).

The episode is due to air at 9pm on BBC One and is the third in the three-part series Gold Rush: Our Race to Olympic Glory .

Gold Rush explores how Britain turned its sporting reputation around over 16 years to triumph at the London 2012 Olympics. The third episode looks specifically at the 4 years leading up to London - where Sir Mo won the first two of his four Olympic gold medals.

Sir Mo, a long-time Teddington resident who can sometimes be spotted training in Bushy Park , filmed his interview for the documentary at St Mary's University in Strawberry Hill.

He filmed his segment at the University's Dolce Vita Café .

Fittingly, the café overlooks the Sir Mo Farah Track which was named in his honour in 2017.

Sir Mo lived, studied and trained at St Mary's from 2001-2011 and regularly visits the campus to train today.

In the interview tonight, the Team GB star talks about preparing for and competing at the 2012 Olympic Games.

He is joined in the episode by Britain's "greatest athletes, national leaders and sports strategists" including heptathlete Jessica Ennis-Hill , who won Gold alongside Sir Mo on 'Super Saturday' at the London 2012 Olympics.
