Teddington Men's 1s aimed to extend their unbeaten run this season as they faced a home fixture with local rivals Old Cranleighans in front of a big crowd on Derby day.
In what is usually a tight fixture, Teddington showed looked to dominatie from the pushback and on his return to the side, Ed Treece took only five minutes to open the scoring with a run down the baseline to slot it past the scrambling keeper.
With only 30 seconds before the half-time whistle, Jack Stubbings capitalised on a poor pass by the OC's full back, winning the ball and slipping it to Matt Steventon who fed Matt Daly.
With the goal at his mercy, his miscued shot bounced through to Noah Plowman to tap home at the back post and open his Teddington account.
In the 3rd quarter, having repelled numerous OC's attacks with ease, Teddington showed why they are unbeaten so far this season.
The intensity of their pressing and the pace of their on ball play rattled the opposition defence with three goals in 10 minutes with a James Hall hit coming either side of a brace of flicks from Kyle White.
OCs pulled a goal back early in the 4th quarter, but their momentum was stopped by a 10 minute yellow card for taking out the goal flicker in a reckless challenge.
Kyle White duly dispatched the re-awarded penalty corner to complete his hattrick and take his goal tally to seven for the season.
Old Cranleighans pulled another back late on but it didn't take the gloss off a fantastic victory and Teddington ran out 6-2 winners on the Club's Vice President's Day.
The result leaves Teddington second in the table with a top of the table clash to come against Canterbury in a fortnight.
