Teddington Cricket Club lost at the ECB National Semi-Final against Bexley on Sunday 20 August.

Bexley Cricket Club secured 138 runs to Teddington's 137 runs, with Bexley winning the game by 7 wickets.

Team Captain Ali Pollok said he was "disappointed to lose and not play to our full potential on the day - but also proud of what we've achieved this year and excited to push on next year".

It is the first time the club has been in the ECB National semi-finals since 2010.

Bexley gave a strong performance on the day with a sharp lead at the start then levelling off with Teddington. Bexley had 3 wickets to Teddington's 10.

Bexley will go on to play Cuckney Cricket Club in the ECB Final at Lord's on 9 September.

"On the day Bexley outplayed us so hats off to them- they're clearly a strong and well led team," Pollok added. "I'm sure we can learn from how they approached the game."

Dan Escott played well for 56 runs and Chris Searle bowled with great skill which has been a constant throughout the cup.

It was a day of mixed emotions for the team, but results aside, Pollok added it was a fantastic day for the whole club.

The atmosphere on Bushy Park grounds was electric with around 400-500 people supporting both side.

Teddington's has two final games left this season, including a home game is this Saturday against Shepherds Bush.

The team are looking to finish the season on a high.
