Plans have been submitted to make alterations to Chat's shopfront in 91 Stanley Road.

The application asks for "Alterations to shopfront fenestration, erection of fascia and hanging signs with internal lighting, and new canopy"

The height of the proposed new fascia sign will be 0.73 metres, and the width will be 10.277 metres.

It is proposed that LED lit acrylic will be used for the new letters and logo.

The text will be "off white" and the background will be "dark grey".

The advertisement is proposed to be illuminated internally.

The height of the proposed new projecting or hanging sign will be 0.6 metres and the width 0.8 metres.

The colour of the text and background will be the same.

The advertisement will also be illuminated internally.

In the application form, Mr Feng Chen explains that while the fascia sign is up, the hanging sign is not because he had to withdraw his previous full planning application.

Richmond Council is yet to approve the plans.

Chat is a café as well as a wine and beer shop and also hosts various events.

91 Stanley Road was formerly an "off licence wine shop" called Teddington Food & Wine.
