New phone repair and vape shop to open on Teddington’s High Street today

A new phone repair and vape shop is set to open on Teddington's High Street today (Friday, 12 June).

Fone and Vape has replaced Cavan Bakery, which closed back in April after being located at 25 High Street for 17 years due to renewal difficulties with the building's landlord.

Being next to Awesome Studios, a dance school for kids, the new opening has met criticism from The Teddington Society.

A local resident also launched a petition against the opening, suggesting that such businesses are "not suitable for our beautiful family high street".

The resident told Nub News: "Our community is built around families, children, and independent local businesses that promote a healthy and welcoming environment."

Staff of the new shop previously told Nub News that converting the former bakery into a store proved to be "very difficult".
