New Italian tapas-style restaurant and cocktail bar opens in Teddington
By Tilly O'Brien 24th Feb 2026
A new Italian tapas style restaurant and cocktail bar opened in Teddington on Friday (20 February).
Baccaro has replaced the former Italian restaurant, Cento Uno, on High Street, which closed back in October after first opening in August 2024, and was run by local business owner, Sam Berry, and his wife Alex.

Baccaro says it is inspired by the Mediterranean culture of apervito.
At its core is the tradition of cicchetti ("chi-KET-tee") — small, shareable dishes created to enjoy alongside wine and cocktails — reinterpreted with a contemporary British edge and flavour.
Blending warm Italian hospitality with the easy-going rhythm of London high street life, Baccaro offers a lively, drinks-led atmosphere paired with Mediterranean specialities — from homemade pastas and pizzas to carefully curated wines, mixology cocktails, weekend brunch, and, of course, cicchetti.
The menu champions a sociable, informal style of dining, balancing modern Italian influences with the local spirit, built around sharing and relaxed enjoyment.
Expect standout dishes and snacks built for passing around the table, including house specialties such as seafood carpaccios, homemade pasta, and Baccaro's signature OctopusDog.
At the bar, award-winning mixologists have built a menu ideal for after-work drinks or longer evenings with friends.
From fresh, lighter serves through to inventive cocktails designed to match the food, including the Matcha Piña Colada (light white rum, pineapple, coconut, lime, matcha syrup) , the Negroni Flight (Classic, White and seasonal Negroni) and the Spicy Margarita with Calabrian Chili (Tequila, lime, agave).
Baccaro is co-founded by Redin Dojkaj who, after experiences with managing venues such as the Montgomery Place Bar, has run The Foresters Arms in Hampton Wick since 2019.
He brings deep local knowledge and hands-on hospitality experience, ensuring Baccaro delivers not only on food and drinks, but on the kind of warm, consistent service that turns first-time guests into regulars.
The venture is also co-founded by Giuseppe Gallo, founder of award-winning Italian aperitivo brands ITALICUS Rosolio di Bergamotto and Savoia Vino Aperitivo.
Renowned for championing Italian drinking culture globally, Gallo's expertise lies in creating authentic, premium Italian experiences rooted in quality, craft and modern aperitivo rituals.
Designed to fit naturally into local community routines, Baccaro says it "aims to become the go-to neighbourhood food place for Teddington's community".
The restaurant is open from 4pm - 11pm Tuesday - Thursday, 11am - 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and 11am - 10.30pm on Sundays.
