The mystery of the empty premises on the corner of Vicarage Road and the High Street has been solved.

A new hair salon is coming to Teddington High Street, 'coming soon' signs placed on the windows of the shop revealed today.

The hairdressers will be a new branch of North London salon PARADIGM Male Image and offer haircuts and beard trimmings to male clients.

It will occupy the premises at 39 High Street, which was home to popular card shop The Card Collection . until it sadly closed down this time last year.

Since then the building, known as Gleneagle court, has hosted a pop-up handbag shop - but before today its long-term future was unknown.

Nub News spoke to Ed Hoadley, a director of the salon.

Hoadley said he felt there was plenty of room for another hairdressers in Teddington, because others on the High Street and Broad Street are traditional barbers.

"We hope to be offering a different level of customer care," he said.

"We have just learned that Teddington is the best place to live in London so hopefully we can offer the best services too."

Workers were busy at the premises today putting the final touches to the salon, which plans to open on Monday April 12 – the day that non-essential shops including hairdressers can open for the first time.

PARADIGM in Teddington will be offering local job opportunities and is already recruiting [L] a stylist to join the team.

Booking, pricing and opening times can be found on the salon's [L] https://www.fresha.com/a/paradigm-teddington-teddington-39-high-street-lw0y1uhf [L+] website.
