A local women's rugby team, Thamesians, is currently recruiting new players for the upcoming season.

The team has welcomed more than 15 players over the past year and is open to anyone aged 18+ regardless of experience.

During the recent season, players went on a summer tour to Paris for a match against RC Suresnes Femmes and an afternoon of barbecues and waterfights.

In the upcoming season, there will be outings to see the Red Roses play against New Zealand, as well as pub meetings and themed social nights.

Recruitment for the Thamsian Women's Rugby Team is being held at their weekly training sessions.

Technical and S&C sessions are from 7pm - 8.30pm on Tuesdays at the Performance Education Centre, St Mary's University.

Tactical and Team Run sessions are held at Orleans Park School from 7pm - 9pm.

Forwards and Backs have sessions from 10am - 12pm on Sundays at Twickenham RFC.
