The new FARA Kids store has opened just across the road at 106-108 High Street.

For almost 15 years, the environmentally-conscious charity shop had been at 119 High Street and had built up a loyal base of customers and donors from across Teddington.

FARA said: "We are looking forward to welcoming you to the new shop.  As always, your kind donations are welcome."

The charity has moved to a bigger store to cope with rising demand, increasing popularity and generosity of donations.

Stocking high quality baby clothes, baby kit and maternity wear, the shop also sells a wide range of kids clothes with a great selection of toys and books

Founded in 1991 by Jane Nicholson, for the past 30 years, FARA has been a lifeline and supported over 10,000 vulnerable children and young people in Romania. The charity was set up after Nicholson visited Romania and saw the cruelty inflicted within state run orphanages during the dictatorship of Nicolae Ceaușescu.

FARA has expanded its reach over the years from one home for rescued children, to community-based programmes supporting families to stay together, hoping to build a stronger future for Romania.
