Local care homes collect over 600 shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child
Local care homes in Teddington, Kingston and Thames Ditton have spread festive cheer by collecting over 600 shoeboxes filled with gifts for Operation Christmas Child.
The Aria Care Group joined forces with the local community to champion the initiative by charity Samaritan's Purse.
Operation Christmas Child has been making a global impact since 1993, delivering joy to children in over 170 countries through the distribution of shoebox gifts containing toys, school supplies, and hygiene items.
Speaking about the initiative, Sarah Chapman, Director of Sales expressed her gratitude for the overwhelming support: "We are thrilled to see the incredible generosity from our residents, colleagues, and the local community. The collaboration to collect over 600 shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child exemplifies the spirit of giving and community that is at the heart of Aria Care."
This year, care homes including Galsworthy House Nursing Home in Kingston-upon-Thames, Home of Compassion in Thames Ditton, Deer Park View Care Centre in Teddington and Cranmer Court in Warlingham, have actively participated in this heartwarming cause.
Residents, colleagues, and the generous local community have come together to contribute a selection of items, resulting in the assembly of over 600 shoeboxes.
