A sports rehab specialist from Teddington is encouraging people to get active this May in collaboration with local businesses as part of a 'Feel Good May' programme.

Aileen Kilshaw, owner of fitness company AForce Training, offers Pilates training, exercise education and rehabilitation sessions for clients in and around Teddington.

Throughout the month of May, Ms Kilshaw will be increasing the amount of Pilates classes she has on offer to encourage the local community to strengthen their levels of physical exercise regardless of age or ability.

As part of her scheme, Ms Kilshaw asked local businesses, many of whom are already clients with AForce, to offer discounts to their services to encourage members of the community to sign up and in return support independent establishments throughout Teddington.

Ms Kilshaw said: "We've had a few long years with everything seeming just a little darker and routines all over the show. I wanted to give back to my amazing clients who stuck through lockdown with me, moving online and trying new things. They deserve a huge thank you!

"Feel Good May is purely about bringing some joy. I want to encourage people not only to move their bodies and feel physically better from one of my classes, but to go out there and use the local services and businesses on our door step that have so much to offer."

This coming Bank Holiday Monday (2 May) will kick things off with AForce offering an additional Zoom Pilate special, Blitz CrossFit in Twickenham will be the second location on the 8 May, Friday 20 May will see AForce classes head to Bushy Park and 'Feel Good May' concludes on the 30th with the final class taking place at Up and Running.

Businesses who will be taking part in 'Feel Good May' include ACena with 20% of their evening A La Carte Menu including drinks Tuesday-Thursday, House Cats offering a free manicure on the go, Up and Running who will be offering 10% in store and Francis Smith Flowers offering 15% off any orders placed during May.

Helen Walley, a regular at AForce added: "I started my Pilates journey three years ago in my mid 60's and I am so pleased that I found Aileen's classes. She makes them fun and never makes you feel like you can't do something. Aileen that rare ability as a teacher to always find the positives in something, she's a superb teacher and an excellent friend."

To benefit from the range of discounts on offer, newcomers must either book a live class at one of the venues in May, book one or a 1:1 session for Pilates, rehab or massage.
