TEDDINGTON pub The Abercorn Arms will gain a new lease of life next month after being bought by an independent local brewery.
The pub on 76 Church Road is due to re-open in late November with a refreshed food and drink menu including locally brewed pale ales in colourful cans.
The ex-Youngs pub has been bought by Esher-based brewers the Big Smoke Brewery Co, who currently operate eight franchises in posh parts of London and Surrey including The Albion and The Antelope in Kingston upon Thames.
The Abercorn Arms will keep its name. A new Instagram account and website have been launched to support the rebranding of the pub.
The pub is now on a hiring spree and is looking for bar staff, a supervisor, an assistant manager and a chef de partie.
Bookings for Christmas 2021 are also open and the pub has revealed its festive menu.
Other events lined up include a party on December 11 with 'Get Gospel' and live music for NYE 2022 with the 'Dutty Rascals', a funk and soul band.
The Abercorn Arms is the latest Teddington pub to rebrand this year following the Clockhouse which officially became the King's Arms back in April.
The Kings Arms manager Simon Knox told Nub News he wanted to pay tribute to Teddington's history with the new design which included a fresh lick of grey paint, new signage, a sports room and a garden pizza oven.
Nub News will keep you updated on the re-launch of the Abercorn Arms and we look forward to seeing the return of this great pub.
