The number of crimes committed in Teddington last month dramatically fell.

In total 45 crimes were committed in the area during September - down from 73 in August and 70 in July.

This is also slightly down on the 51 crimes committed in the area during September 2019.

Teddington is fairly middling for number of crimes committed compared to other areas of Richmond Borough.

1,176 crimes were committed here in the last two years.

This number is lower than Richmond and Twickenham but higher than Fulwell and Hampton.

Richmond Borough is however the safest in London with a crime rate 129.45 per 100,000

Crime in general is down this year as the national lockdown meant that crime plummeted between March and June.

Indeed the overall London crime rate has been below last year's average since the pandemic took hold.
