Planning permission has been given to brick-up the cash machine outside Barclays.

The branch of the high-street bank is set to close on November 6th.

The application reads as follows: "Removal of external ATM. The existing ATM cut out hole to be infilled by stonework and to match existing stonework."

The council approved this application yesterday (21st October).

The ATM is located on The Causeway, just off the high street.

With Barclays set to close this will leave the mini-Halifax as the only bank left to serve Teddington.

This move now leaves just two cash machines left on the high street.
