Bushy Park Girls Cricket is the latest local sports club in Teddington to 'unlock' as they return to training for the first time.
With cricket returning across the country in the near future the club held its first training session on June 22.
While social distancing was still maintained the girls trained both in the nets and on the field as lockdown restrictions continue to be eased.
A spokesperson said: "It was a real joy to see so many girls return to training on Monday 22nd June after the lockdown.
"It was great to see them back in the nets and on the outfield getting proper coaching for the first time since winter nets – it has been a long time coming!
"It was a beautiful mid-summer evening in Bushy Park, reminding us all what we have missed."
Two sessions took place with one for girls aged up to year seven and another for years eight and above.
Both sessions were fully booked and there was a waiting list of 15 girls all desperate to get back playing cricket.
The club will inform parents as soon as a space to train is available - but current social distancing measures means that spaces are limited.
There may be extra nets available at the National Physical Laboratory Sports Club which the girls are hoping to use.
This news comes as Teddington Cricket Club held its first juniors sessions over the weekend.
The club hopes that they will be able to hold adult sessions by the middle of July.
