Twickenham Choral
Landmark Arts Centre
UNTIL Saturday 11th December
For an evening of magnificent Baroque exuberance, Twickenham Choral's first concert in almost two years would be hard to beat.
Carl Philipp Emmanuel Bach's elaborate setting of the Magnificat is a son's tribute to his great father, with nods too in the direction of his godfather Telemann, while Handel's much-loved Dixit Dominus, unarguably one of his greatest choral works, is a showpiece for singers and string players alike – vivacious, triumphant and brilliant.
We are excited to be accompanied once again by the Brandenburg Baroque Soloists and four dazzling young singers, as we approach our Centenary in 2022.
Conductor Christopher Herrick; Brandenburg Baroque Soloists Alexandra Kidgell (Soprano), Alexandra Gibson (Alto), Mark Dobell (Tenor), Ben Davies (Bass).
Time: 7.30pm. Doors & bar open: 6.45pm.
