‘Prolific’ shopkeeper arrested near Tesco car park in Teddington

The Teddington Safe Neighbourhood Team's (SNT) PC and PCSO arrested a "prolific" shoplifter last Wednesday (13 August) near the Tesco car park in Teddington.

The shoplifter had stolen goods worth £180 from two shops.

The goods were returned to the shops, and the shoplifter is in custody. 

A Met spokesperson said: "Many thanks to local residents who made initial call for us. We will not tolerate any crime in our wards. "
