Discover the rhythm, connection and expressive movement of Argentine Tango in this accessible introductory workshop for adults. Suitable for complete beginners, the session offers a welcoming introduction to the foundations of tango through guided movement, musicality and partner work.
Participants will explore balance, posture and simple sequences while developing confidence through shared movement and creative expression. Designed for adult leisure learners, the workshop encourages connection, rhythm and enjoyment in a supportive and social environment.
Tutor Bio: Lucy Potter is a freelance dance teacher, choreographer and movement director, and the Co-Founder and Artistic Director of Moving Stories Dance Company. Her work combines storytelling, rhythm and movement, drawing on a wide range of dance styles including jazz, ballet, contemporary, tap and Argentine tango.
Alongside her choreography and performance work, Lucy has extensive teaching experience across schools, conservatoires and community settings, working with participants of all ages and abilities. Her practice focuses on creativity, musicality and connection, creating welcoming environments where movement becomes a shared and expressive experience. Through workshops and performance, she encourages participants to build confidence, curiosity and enjoyment through dance.
