Teddington 1st  XV were on the road for the second week running when they visited the historic Old Blues RFC on Saturday.

Protecting their unbeaten start in the league, the Antlers had a large pool of players to select from this week, allowing the club to field 3 teams for the first time in 4 years.

This is a great reflection of the enthusiasm currently coursing through the club and long may it continue. The game started well for the Antlers, with full back Lewis Carter crossing for the first converted try, but the Old Blues hit back with a converted try of their own.

No.8 Kerry Boyd powered over to restore the Antlers lead at half time, but again the hosts pegged back the league leaders shortly after the break to bring the score back to 12-14.

Up until this point the stop, start nature of the game was not helping Teddington get into their stride, but as the game progressed, play began to open up, allowing the visitors to finally stretch their lead.

Man of the Match Carter crossed for his second try of the afternoon, wingers Harry Smith and George Bradford also crossed the whitewash, whilst fly half Bob Beevers defied the windy conditions by slotting two drop goals.

A bonus point victory on the road was in the bag and the unbeaten start to the league program continues. Attentions now turn to the top of the table clash with Chipstead RFC at home next Saturday, in what should be great match up.

The 2nd XV welcomed Farnham to Bushy Park in a Surrey Merit Table clash that didn't disappoint for drama.

Farnham raced into a 14-0 lead and continued to manage the scoreline in their favour throughout most of the game.

However Teddington tries from Ollie Poulter, George Harrison, a length of the pitch beauty finished off by fly half Tom MORRIS, and an incredible acrobatic touchdown by Charlie Costello kept the Antlers within touching distance.

Starting to sniff victory, the home side applied more and more territorial pressure, and with minutes to go Mike Cox crashed over to give Teddington the lead for the first time in the game.

They then held out for a nervous few moments to secure a dramatic win.

Final Score Teddington 29 Farnham 26.

The 3rd XV hosted Bec Old Boys, and were also guilty of a slow start, conceding two tries in the first 10 minutes to trail 14-0.

From that point on the game was fairly even, and Teddington hit back with tries from Bill Pulling and the evergreen Guy Stewart. Unfortunately that wasn't enough to avoid defeat.

Final Score Teddington 10 Bec Old Boys 19.

On Sunday, it was the turn of the Colts. Two friendly fixtures were scheduled, but unfortunately one of the opposition teams pulled out at late notice, so all the focus was on the visit of Sevenoaks Colts.

As always with Colts fixtures, the game was played at a very high tempo, with Teddington standing firm against some early pressure, before getting their noses in front and taking a 7-0 lead into the break.

The visitors were strong and organized though and started to turn the screw in the second half, scoring four tries and running out deserved winners.

Final Score Teddington RFC Colts 12 Sevenoaks RFC Colts 28
