Parents are asked by the Council to remember to social distance and wear face coverings if possible at the school gates, to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

As children and young people have been returning to schools over the past few weeks, Richmond Council has written to all parents and carers to ask them to be considerate of others, including the local community, whilst dropping off or picking up their children.

Munira Wilson, MP for Twickenham, has pressed Matt Hancock, Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, on the ongoing problems preventing local residents from accessing Covid-19 tests.

Some are being asked to travel as far as Newquay and Aberdeen to access testing. Others have found that they are only able to access the local Twickenham testing site by pretending they live at an address in Scotland. Home testing kits have not been available for the last week.

Richmond Council are warning residents to be on their guard against a new fraud that promises victims a Council Tax reduction because of the Coronavirus outbreak.

The scam, which has been seen in other parts of London, but not yet in Teddington, uses what appear to be official council letters complete with logos, which direct victims to a fake website that is designed to harvest people's sensitive personal data.
