Spectacular Christmas light trail opens at Kew Gardens

A SPARKLING trail of light and dazzling video displays opens at Kew Gardens tonight as its ever-popular Christmas display returns with some new additions for 2021.

The after-dark experience at the Gardens adds a festive explosion of colour to its fabulous grounds and buildings, while street food stalls provide warming refreshments for visitors to enjoy.

Teddington charity RUILS' Chief executive Cathy Maker receives the cheque from Wharf manager Richard Fernandez

RUILS, the local charity which supports disabled children and adults with long term health and mental health conditions to live independent lives has received a donation of £581 through the ongoing partnership between Teddington's popular Wharf restaurant and the community lottery Get Lucky Local.

The charity raises funds to help those with challenges be part of the community and to live life to the full providing information and advice. RUILS has delivered 2.600 food parcels and made 3600 befriending calls to isolated clients since March this year.

Teddington's Park Lane Stables have a Royal day to remember

Volunteers from Teddington's Park Lane Stables finally took up their invitation from Her Majesty The Queen to visit the Royal Mews at Buckingham Palace.

The exclusive Royal invite had been sent in February in recognition of the 'hard work' by the team at the Stables, for what Buckingham Palace described as the 'amazing campaign' to raise over £1 million to buy the Teddington stables from the landlord.
