Richmond's MP has challenged Boris Johnson to properly fund the Environment Agency amid fears it is unable to tackle the pollution of waterways, such as Beverley Brook.
The brook was contaminated by what appears to a large oil spill on Friday and the resulting pollution has spread over 13km – 8 miles – to the Thames.
Local group, Give a Paw, are looking for donations for animals in Ukraine.
They have made an appeal for items to deliver for animals in need.

The Friends of Richmond Park have spoken of their determination to help in the clean-up operation of Beverley Brook which has been hit by a disastrous oil spill.
The Brook runs through the Royal park and has been at the centre of a restoration project supported by the charity and its patrons, who include Sir David Attenborough and Clare Balding.

Twickenham MP, Munira Wilson, has questioned Boris Johnson's decision to push for Evgeny Lebedev to be appointed to the House of Lords.
Lord Lebedev, who has a mansion in the grounds of Hampton Court Palace, was appointed by the prime minister who, allegedly, went against 'serious reservations' from the security services.

Fred the therapy dog is lifting students' spirits across Richmond upon Thames College (RuTC).
Fred's owner Tina Ball, who is RuTC Attendance, Engagement and Outreach Lead, has been bringing the 12-year-old Westie and Labrador cross into the college to help students, including those suffering from anxiety and depression.

Thanks to the Teddington Society, users of the Elleray Hall Social Centre now have a life-saving defibrillator onsite.
The Society, which has a long association with the Hall, bought and presented the equipment, which is compact and fully transportable.
In a remarkable coincidence two former pupils of Shene School – now Richmond Park Academy – are both vying for Oscars on Sunday.
Both are being recognised for their expertise in film and television with Simon Hayes up for his work on the recent Bond move, No Time to Die, and Denise Yarde nominated for Belfast.

Richmond Council have received a grant of more than £220,000 to fund the planting of 410 new trees in the borough.
The money comes from the government's Urban Tree Challenge Fund and helps in line with Richmond's Climate Emergency Strategy.
Teddington's RNLI volunteer has made history with the FIRST all-female crew callout for an unattended rowing boat with its engine still running was spotted near the Teddington footbridge.
The crew members were newly-qualified helm, Samantha Armatage, who was joined by crew members Nicola Peters and Gianna Saccomani.
