To help keep children occupied over the Easter holidays, the Teddington Society organised an art competition for them, with the subject "Your home".

"We received lots of entries" said Jenny Michell, who organised the competition, "and we loved the huge variety of styles and colours our entrants used. Seeing the different age groups' interpretation of their homes was a real pleasure."

A judging panel – comprising Jenny Michell, the photographer Emma Durnford, and Liz Waters, Vice Chair of the Teddington Society – selected three winners, one from each age group: Leo, aged 4; Anabil, aged 10; and Leonid, aged 12. They each receive a certificate and a prize voucher from the Society.

Every child who entered the competition will also receive a certificate of merit as a special 'thank you'. And by arrangement with Melissa Sims, the winners' art work is now being displayed in the window of Sims Opticians in The Causeway – go along and see!
